Zelda GameCube Bundle DetailsDavid SmithConfirming what most of the world already knew, Nintendo today announced plans to re-release a fistful of classic Legend of Zelda adventures as part of a new holiday bundle with the GameCube console. Starting November 17, players can get four Zelda games and a GameCube console for $99.99.
The extras come on a single disc, with the following four games:
The Legend of Zelda, released for the NES in 1987
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, released for the NES in 1988
The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, released for the Nintendo 64 in 2000
Along with the games, the disc will also include a playable demo of Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for GameCube, a trailer of gameplay highlights from Wind Waker, and a brief historical retrospective on the series.
If you already have a GameCube, you can snag the disc in one of two ways. Purchasers of two of Nintendo's major holiday releases -- Mario Kart: Double Dash, Mario Party 5, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and 1080 Avalanche -- can get the disc by registering those two games and their already-purchased GameCube console. Alternatively, the disc will be given away with new and renewed subscriptions to Nintendo Power magazine.
And if you can't wait that long, well, you could maybe find something to do with that extra GameCube.
