EA's Burnout Legends Slams Into Retail for PSP; Nintendo DS Version Slated to Ship in November

CHERTSEY, Surrey, England -- Keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel ... Electronic Arts (Nasdaq:ERTS) today announced that Burnout(TM) Legends has shipped to North American retailers for the PSP(TM) (PlayStation(R) Portable) handheld system. The game is rated E10+ by the ESRB and carries an MSRP of $49.99.

Burnout Legends will also ship for the Nintendo DS(TM) portable video game system this November.

Burnout Legends sets the bar for on-the-go automotive anarchy, combining the series' trademark speed, destruction and depth with new features, gameplay refinements and connectivity. The PSP version of the game features eight gameplay modes, including crash, road rage and pursuit, with white-knuckle multiplayer via Wi-Fi, and a GameShare option allowing players to wirelessly share any level of the game with friends.

Burnout Legends delivers updated versions of the most explosive moments from Burnout(TM), Burnout(TM) 2: Point of Impact and Burnout(TM) 3: Takedown(TM), with new gameplay, new cars and new surprises.

"The fastest, most destructive racer on consoles is now the fastest, most destructive racer on handhelds," said Alex Ward, Creative Director, Criterion Games. "Burnout Legends completely reinvents the most explosive moments from Burnout's history for on-the-go automotive anarchy."

Burnout Legends was developed by Criterion Software Limited in Guildford, UK. The studio is also currently developing the explosive first-person shooter BLACK(TM), slated for release in February 2006 on the PlayStation(R) 2 computer entertainment system and Xbox(R) video game system from Microsoft.
