Pizza Hut, with New Logo, Re-Ties to Sony PlayStation - Brief Article
DALLAS--Pizza Hut will debut its revamped logo in national ads next month to support the chain's holiday reup with Sony's PlayStation. Helping to highlight the promo will be PlayStation character Crash who appears in ads, via BBDO, N.Y., instructing consumers on the art of eating Pizza Hut's Stuffed Crust Pizza backwards. The promo will dangle PlayStation sample CDs on an estimated 3 million box tops throughout the duration of the program. Pizza Hut unveiled the new logo two weeks ago in New York with the announcement of a sponsorship of the world's largest proton rocket which will launch the permanent living capsule of the International Space Station. The logo will blast off in a 30-foot tall image emblazoned on the rocket that launches from Kazakhstan in mid-November. The logo overhaul is part of a $500 million brand revitalization push for Pizza Hut.
