McDonald's partners with Sony for PlayStation promotion
OAK BROOK, ILL. -- McDonald's Corp. plans to give away more than 50,000 PlayStation prizes in a technology-driven promotion that continues the chain's targeting of young adults.
The promotion, called "Only the Mac Code Knows," is a joint effort with Sony Computer Entertainment America. Codes printed on Big Mac boxes and on containers of large orders of fries allow access to a special website, where customers can enter to win Sony's new PlayStation Portable systems, PlayStation 2 entertainment systems and software titles.
The promotion will run through July 25 and is being supported with broadcast ads and a digital media campaign.
