Emarketing Leaders 24/7 Media, Digital Impact and Xchange Adopt Talkway's Streaming Audio/Video Standard Business Editors/High-Tech Writers
Fall Internet World 2000
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 2000
Talkway Communications, a leading video service provider (VSP), today announced that it has licensed its MarketingTalk(TM) audio/video service to 24/7 Media (Nasdaq:TFSM), Digital Impact, Inc. (Nasdaq:DIGI) and Xchange, Inc. (Nasdaq:EXAP), enabling the three companies to enhance their email marketing services with quick, targeted audio/video content.
Through these licensing agreements, it is conservatively estimated that more than 4.8 billion email marketing messages will be Talkway video-enabled annually.
Video-enabled digital messages have emerged as a high impact, cost effective way for marketers to reach their targeted audience and build one-to-one relationships. Talkway's MarketingTalk(TM) service makes it easy for online marketers to deliver engaging messages to current and potential customers by offering an end-to-end video email solution that includes player technology, hosting and distribution, encoding and data analysis.
"Video email is undoubtedly the most innovative medium for Internet-based marketing, and by partnering with Talkway, we've ensured that our clients, including list brokers, media planners and marketers, can reap the full benefits of this exciting technology," said Scott Paternoster, 24/7 Media's president of Media Solutions. "Talkway's MarketingTalk service was easy to integrate, and within weeks we were able to offer our clients the most dynamic and personalized connection with their audience."
Talkway will take any video marketing content and encode it for streaming over the Internet. Once the audio and video content has been encoded and optimized for streaming, it is uploaded and stored on the Talkway servers. With MarketingTalk, email recipients can open their messages and almost instantly view the streaming video content. Talkway tracks the number of people that view the messages and provides a detailed follow up report containing useful market analysis information.
"Digital Impact was looking for a flexible and responsive partner in the streaming audio/video space with services to enhance our leading eMarketing solutions," said William Park, chief executive officer and chairman of Digital Impact, Inc. "MarketingTalk services offer efficient implementation and high-quality functionality, responding quickly to the demands of Digital Impact and our clients."
"Highly personalized, dynamically rich eMessaging is an integral piece to the strategic eCRM puzzle, and a significant part of Xchange's ASP business," said Robin Green, executive vice president of the Americas for Xchange, Inc. "The addition of Talkway's broadband and narrowband technology to the Xchange eCRM solutions suite helps Xchange clients create even more powerful, high-impact targeted customer communications."
"Talkway's MarketingTalk service is ideal for leading email marketing providers such as 24/7, Digital Impact and Xchange because it can support messaging campaigns of any size," said Shannon Carter, executive vice president of business development and marketing at Talkway. "Through our Partner Sales Program (PSP), Talkway offers high quality audio/video content delivery via narrowband or broadband connections. This in conjunction with its virtually guaranteed delivery is mission-critical for our international client base."
Talkway's MarketingTalk service provides high-quality audio/video content that requires no software downloads for playback and functions at connection speeds ranging from 28.8 kbps to T3, ensuring that virtually anyone can receive audio/video messages.
