BURLINGTON
Drugs
A 19-year-old Burlington woman was arrested Jan. 25 on allegations of possession of 1.5 grams of marijuana and a drug pipe after a complaint about loud music in the 3700 block of Browns Lake Drive.
Liquor violation
Two 17-year-old Burlington girls were arrested Jan. 26 on allegations of underage drinking at Origen Street Hill. The girls denied drinking but registered 0.11 and 0.13 on preliminary breath tests. A 21-year-old Burlington man was cited on allegations of having open intoxicants.
A 14-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, both of Burlington, were arrested Jan. 26 on allegations of underage drinking at Riverside Park. The boy, who registered 0.08 on a preliminary breath test, was throwing up when found at the park. The girl also was cited for possession of tobacco. A 21-year-old Genoa City man was arrested on allegations of furnishing liquor to underage drinkers, although he denied the charge, and was accused of littering. A broken bottle of vodka was found nearby as were two pizzas stuck in a snow bank. The man had put them there to keep them cold.
A 14-year-old Burlington boy was arrested Jan. 29 on allegations of underage drinking at Burlington High School, 400 McCanna Parkway, after he brought wine to school and drank it.
Theft
Two laptop computers and two chargers worth more than $2,000 were stolen Jan. 28 from a storage area at Karcher Middle School, 225 Robert St.
TOWN OF BURLINGTON
Disorderly conduct
Two Burlington men, ages 33 and 35, were ticketed Jan. 13 on allegations of disorderly conduct for fighting at a bar in the 30400 block of Durand Ave. Both men blamed the other for the fight.
Lost property
A laser worth $5,600 was reported lost Jan. 19, perhaps falling out of the back of a truck on Highway 142 at Wheatland Road or on Karcher Road or Fishman Road.
Vandalism
Eggs were thrown on a garage and car Jan. 24 in the 8200 block of Chara Drive.
CALEDONIA
Identity theft
A resident reported Jan. 23 that her name and Social Security number had been used in 1995 to charge more than $360 to a North Carolina address. The resident discovered the theft when she received a bill from Debt Recovery Solutions.
Telephone misuse
A 20-year-old Caledonia woman was ticketed Jan. 28 on allegations of illegal use of a telephone after she left sexually explicit messages on a man's cell phone.
Theft
Items worth about $5,000, including a 12-gauge shotgun, night vision glasses, binoculars, a ticket book and a laptop computer, were stolen Jan. 25 or 26 from a state Department of Natural Resources vehicle in the 4200 block of Erie St.
Traffic offense
A 56-year-old Racine woman was arrested Jan. 23 on allegations of drunken driving and prohibitive alcohol content after she hit a utility pole and left the scene to follow a car she said had run her off the road in the 3600 block of Four Mile Road. The woman, who had a blood-alcohol level of 0.17 on a preliminary breath test, denied drinking and said she had a cold and was taking cough syrup and breath spray.
A 27-year-old Sturtevant man was arrested Jan. 29 on allegations of drunken driving with two prior convictions, operating after revocation, driving too fast for conditions, an outstanding Racine County warrant, and was given a verbal warning for not wearing his seat belt when his car was found in a ditch on Golf Road at Northwestern Ave. The man said he had "several beers" but later admitted having "16 Budweiser beers from 1 p.m. to who knows when" but still denied being drunk.
MOUNT PLEASANT
Burglary
Items worth more than $500 were stolen Jan. 28 from a residence in the 2400 block of Penbrook Drive.
Theft
Two women, ages 21 and 28, were arrested Jan. 24 on allegations of shoplifting items worth more than $100 from the Dollar Tree, 5201 Washington Ave.
Items worth more than $150 were stolen Jan. 26 from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Oakes Road.
A purse with contents worth an estimated $100 was stolen Jan. 26 from a woman while she was at Paradise West, 6501 Washington Ave.
A 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were arrested Jan. 26 on allegations of retail theft at Piggly Wiggly, 5600 Spring St., for stealing candy.
Items worth more than $50 were stolen Jan. 26 from a vehicle in the lot of Wal-Mart, 3049 S. Oakes Road.
A 45-year-old woman was arrested Jan. 27 on allegations of shoplifting items worth more than $50 from Walgreens, 6125 Durand Ave. The woman also was accused of possessing drug paraphernalia after a crack pipe was found.
A 21-year-old man was arrested Jan. 28 on allegations of shoplifting items worth more than $15 from Goodwill Industries, 3131 S. Oakes Road.
Items were stolen Jan. 29 from a residence under construction in the 6500 block of Spring Meadow Drive.
RACINE
Burglary
A computer worth $1,600, a monitor worth $799, a fax machine worth $350 and postage stamps were stolen Jan. 26 or 27 after entry was forced into Weber & Chafferty law offices, 704 Park Ave.
An Xbox worth $170 and five DVDs worth $75 were stolen Jan. 30 from a residence in the 3300 block of Kentucky St.
A Whirlpool dryer worth $450 was stolen between Jan. 17 and 31 from a storage unit at Melvin Ave. Storage, 1616 Melvin Ave.
Seven DVDs worth $140 and two receivers worth $100 were stolen Feb. 1 or 2 from a residence in the 900 block of Superior St.
Child neglect
A 25-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were charged Jan. 30 on allegations of child neglect after a 7-year-old girl was found locked outside her apartment in the 1800 block of Roosevelt Ave. when it was about 5 degrees. The child was scared and crying when found but otherwise unharmed.
Criminal damage
A piece of construction material was used Feb. 1 or 2 to break a vehicle's window in the 1700 block of Holmes Ave.
Windows were broken in two vehicles Feb. 1 or 2 in the 2800 block of Jacato Drive.
An intoxicated man kicked out door glass worth $100 on Feb. 1 at Burger King, 3456 Douglas Ave. The man fled before officers arrived.
Purse snatching
A man snatched a purse containing $900 from a 31-year-old woman walking in the area of 16th St. and Taylor Ave. on Jan. 24.
Theft
A wallet containing $150 cash, clothing worth $120, a day planner and a checkbook were stolen Jan. 28 from a vehicle in the area of Erie and Kewaunee streets.
Checks and cash were stolen Jan. 28 from Horlick High School, 2119 Rapids Drive, after entry was forced into a desk drawer.
A bicycle worth an estimated $50 was stolen between Jan. 21 and 28 from a garage in the 1600 block of Echo Lane.
A wallet containing $1,800 cash was stolen Jan. 30 from a residence in the 1800 block of Roe Ave.
A 30-year-old man was charged Jan. 31 on allegations of retail theft at the Family Dollar Store, 2300 Rapids Drive, for stealing toothpaste, deodorant and bar soap.
A computer system worth $1,100 was stolen Jan. 29 from an apartment in the 2400 block of Northwestern Ave.
Jewelry and $350 cash were stolen between Jan. 26 and 28 from a home in the 1100 block of 17th St.
Three jackets worth a combined $250 and books were stolen Jan. 29 from a student's locker at Horlick High School, 2119 Rapids Drive.
A vehicle worth $3,000 was stolen Jan. 30 or 31 from the 1500 block of Chatham St.
A backpack that contained a cell phone worth $89 and a wallet with $60 was stolen Feb. 2 from a 45-year-old man after he left it unattended at Sears, 5538 Durand Ave.
A 16-year-old boy was charged Feb. 2 on allegations of retail theft at JC Penney, 5900 Durand Ave., for stealing a shirt worth $32 and earrings worth $30.
STURTEVANT
Criminal damage
Three boards were damaged on a fence Jan. 30 in the 2900 block of 97th St. The owner estimated the damage at $100.
Fire call
Sturtevant firefighters responded Jan. 31 in Mount Pleasant on a report of smoke coming from an apartment building at 7220 Kinzie Ave. Investigation revealed a tenant had burned some food.
WATERFORD
Disorderly conduct
A 33-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, both of Waterford, were cited Jan. 27 on allegations of disorderly conduct in the 7100 block of N. Tichigan Road after she locked him out of their house and he kicked in a door. The woman told police the man had brought her some beer and then "took off." According to police, both parties appeared intoxicated.
Theft
A resident reported Jan. 31 that Sears called her to ask for approval to charge $1,900 on her MasterCard at a floral shop in Illinois. She canceled the card.
Traffic offense
A 30-year-old Ohio man was arrested Jan. 30 on allegations of drunken driving, prohibitive alcohol content and going 82 mph in a 55- mph zone on Highway 20 at Highway 83. A 19-year-old Melrose man was arrested on allegations of underage drinking.
A 28-year-old Wind Lake woman was arrested Jan. 31 on allegations of drunken driving, prohibitive alcohol content and failure to stop at a sign on S. Loomis Road at Town Line Road. The woman, who registered 0.17 on a breath test, said she had "a few cups of beer" but did not know how many.
A 44-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested Feb. 1 on allegations of drunken driving, prohibitive alcohol content and driving 72 mph in a 55-mph zone on Highway 164 at S. Loomis Road. He registered 0.19 on a preliminary breath test.
