This game plunges you into the desperate ground combat seen in Star Wars: Episode II, where you pilot one of several kinds of spacecrafts. Play modes include deathmatch and king-of-the-hill. Xbox Live's enhanced two-team conquest mode pits teams against each other in a battle to capture enemy headquarters. The game looks impressive and sounds even better, but it broke down badly in online testing. Lag time turned combat into a chaotic slide show. Between one frame and the next, our craft could crash into a ravine or be destroyed by enemy fire. War is hell—but games are supposed to be fun.
