Splinter Cell Xbox Live Glitch Repaired

David Smith

The Xbox Live glitch that crashed many a game of Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow can be repaired with a new automatic update, Ubisoft and Microsoft announced today.

Logging on to Xbox Live with the new stealth action game will now download an automatic update, which repairs the widely-reported glitch in the Optimatch function. Before, sitting idle on the Optimatch screen for more than 12 seconds or so would result in a fatal error, requiring players to reboot their locked-up Xboxes.

With this critical issue addressed, Ubisoft reports that it is turning to less vital but still problematic issues in Pandora Tomorrow's online game, and another automatic update is in the works to both correct those problems and improve some other features. When more news of that update arrives, we'll be sure to pass it on.
